WHAT - Rich and tropical Chardonnay from Christophe Muret of Domaine Castelnau based in the hills of the Languedoc. Christophe was once upon a time a melon farmer before heading into the vinous world. This area has a long ripening season due to the warm consistent weather and the cooling winds and cooler nights keeping freshness and meaning the grapes ripen evenly. This gives the wine incredible depth of flavour with stoned fruits, some tropical on the finish and a little bit of zippy lime to pull everything together.
